I recently read an article about the University of Connecticut Office of Veterans Affairs and Military Programs hopes to donate more than 3,000 care packages to veterans. This year was the fourth year that they held this drive. They accepted donations starting on Nov. 14. The accepting of donations ended on Dec. 2. The items colected went to Homes for the Brave in Bridgeport, CT and and South Park Inn in Hartford, CT. Both places provide housing, training, job placement and other services to the homeless and the needy. They also help veterans. For the competitive people hoping to win at donating, they could form teams to compete against each other. Go UCONN!
